Campaign Specialist - Cleve J Fredricksen Library
Cleve J. Fredricksen Library in Camp Hill is seeking a part-time, temporary Campaign Specialist to support fundraising efforts during a critical phase of our Capital Campaign; works under the direction of the Development Director. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in nonprofit fundraising/Capital campaigns as well as strong organizational skills/attention to detail. EOE.
Classification: Part-Time/Non - Exempt
Hours/Pay rate: Approximately 10 - 20 hours per week/6 month commitment with possible extension based on business needs; $20/hour
Essential Functions:
- Assist in planning and executing the Capital campaign.
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit donors. Conduct prospect research and compile donor profiles as needed.
- Provide administrative support to the campaign committee, including scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and organizing campaign materials.
- Assist with date entry, gift processing and donor acknowledgement in coordination with the development team.
- Track donor outreach, pledges and contributions.
- Prepare campaign reports and updates.
- Coordinate logistics for donor meetings including proposal packets for campaign outreach.
- Collaborate with library staff, board members, and volunteers to maximize fundraising opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven track record in nonprofit fundraising (minimum three years).
- Capital campaign experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to type 50 wpm.
- Comfortable working with donor databases and data entry.
- Excellent multi-tasking, organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential matters with utmost integrity.
- College degree preferred.
Physical and Environmental Conditions: Work regularly demands physical effort in the handling of moderately heavy materials or boxes as well as manual dexterity and visual acuity when working with a computer. Regularly uses repetitive movements and views small print while typing documents on a computer. Work requires sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time, occasionally in an outdoor setting. Work regularly requires driving to various locations as needed.
The work environment involves everyday risks which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting rooms, and libraries, e.g., the use safe of work place practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations.
